What is the opportunity?

The Operational Resiliency Manager at RBC Investor Services will support the maintenance of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management programs. This individual will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks as well as ensuring the continuity of critical business functions.

What will you do?

  • Manage the fulfillment of the Operational Resilience framework, ensuring that the policies and procedures are met to effectively manage operational risks across RBCIS.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with cross functional teams to facilitate risk assessments to identify and evaluate threats, vulnerabilities and interdependencies. 
  • Assess and Identify efficiencies across both Operational Resilience and Business Continuity programs intended to embed an enhanced resilience culture through designing, building, deploying and optimizing Operational Resilience capabilities.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of Business Continuity program requirements. This includes updating Business Continuity Plans, Business Impact Analysis and
  • Threat Risk Assessments to ensure the RBCIS ability to respond to and recover from disruptions.
  • Assist with reporting metrics by monitoring the Key Risk Indicators related to Business Continuity and Operational Resilience.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 3+ years of experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity Management, Risk Management or related roles within the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor�s degree in business, Finance, Risk Management or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks, analyze data, and make recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Business Continuity Planning software/tools.
